Game mechanics and training methods
Experience thresholds and the core skill progression formula are implemented in OSRS Calc. Training methods, requirements, item effects, monster attributes and encounter details are cross-checked against community references, primarily the Old School RuneScape Wiki. Individual guides link to the pages used for their specific comparisons.
Training rates are estimates rather than official game data. They represent selected assumptions about gear, unlocks and play style; method notes identify important requirements and trade-offs where relevant.
Prices, hiscores and catalogs
- Grand Exchange quotes and historical trends are provided through the OSRS Wiki real-time prices service. Quotes can be delayed or untradeable at the displayed value.
- Optional player-stat lookups use the Wise Old Man API, which works with publicly available hiscores data.
- Combat equipment and monster catalogs include data derived from the weirdgloop OSRS DPS calculator data project and OSRS Wiki references.

Corrections and updates
We update pages when a game change or a clear source discrepancy affects a calculation. Market values may change continuously, and estimates can lag behind updates. For a correction, include the page URL, the value in question and a source link.
See the About page for how to report a problem and the Terms & Disclaimer for the limits of estimates.
