Sarachnis OSRS: Mid-Game Setup and DPS Check
Sarachnis is a useful mid-game equipment check: crush is clearly favoured, but pure target DPS overstates real kills because webs and spawned spiders interrupt damage.
Crush first, max hit second
A lower-paper-strength crush weapon can beat a stronger slash weapon because Sarachnis has only +10 crush defence. Compare the actual hit chance and DPS, not the strength bonus alone.
A practical mid-game benchmark
Sarachnis sits in a useful gap between basic melee training targets and mechanically heavier bosses. Her 400 HP and 150 Defence make accuracy visible without demanding end-game equipment.
The calculator's time-to-kill is uninterrupted attack time. Add movement, web binds, healing, spawned spiders and looting to estimate a real trip. That difference is also why two players with similar listed DPS can report different kills per hour.
Upgrade rule of thumb
Prioritise an upgrade when it improves both crush accuracy and strength at a reasonable price. If an item adds only a fraction of a max hit and leaves hit chance unchanged, supplies or survivability may buy more real kills per trip.
Calculate DPS vs Sarachnis
Use the result as active attack time and add mechanic downtime for a realistic kill estimate.
